Reporters say the darndest things, especially when they are talking about the Texas Revolution.
Yes, this is another correction of the authors of Forget the Alamo. I know some of you are saying to stop giving them attention and just let it die. We can’t do that. To let misinformation go unchallenged is no different than agreeing with it.
Some people take issue with the snarky tone we adopted for these debunkings. We’re just matching the tone they use in the book. If they had written the same lies in academic prose, we would have responded in kind. But I have to admit it’s a lot of fun to write this way.
In this video, Michelle takes on Chris Tomlinson, who has taken the lead in defending the book. I actually feel sorry for Chris, because if I understand correctly, Bryan Burrough wrote the section of the book dealing with the Texas Revolution. So Chris is forced to defend his co-author’s shoddy work, and in the course of doing so digs the hole even deeper, as you are about to see.
Enjoy.

Thank you for refuting this denier of Texas History.
His revisionism casts a cloud over the Texian heroes.
Bravo! You are one intelligent, feisty woman!
Chris Tomlinson is another case of a misguided soul thinking with his heart, and not is head. Sad to have only education and no wisdom.
Thank you for sharing that and for your brilliant, factual rebuttal. I was amused at the bobblehead to the right side of the screen.
Keep up the good work.
Following this piece of illogical thought, it sure would be interesting to see what this trio would write about the American Revolution and how Mother England was only defending her land and right” to so abuse the colonists. Good job CBP…glad you stand up for things the way they should be!
